Carboxytherapy

Carboxytherapy is a kind of mesotherapy. The procedure entails injection of carbon dioxide under the skin to stimulate collagen production and skin recovery. This allows to get rid of wrinkles and dark circles around eyes; the skin becomes more elastic and the fat accumulations under the skin dissolve. The procedure, during which carbon dioxide is injected under the skin by fine needles, lasts 15-30 minutes depending on the area intended.

When carbon dioxide is injected under the skin, the organism perceives it as oxygen deficiency and reacts to it increasing blood and at the same time oxygen flow. As a result, the cells of the epidermis receive more nutrients and sufficient oxygen to increase collagen production and prevent dehydration.

Carboxytherapy is also applied for regulation of oil production by the skin (seborrhea), acne and post acne treatment, reduction of swellings, deep hydration, as well as for the recovery of damaged skin. It allows to smooth expression wrinkles, dark circles, vascular starlets (widening of subcutaneous capillaries) and prevents early skin aging.
