Botulinum Toxin Type A

Injection of Botulinum toxin type A (Botox) is a non-surgical method of facial contour correction and improvement of facial wrinkles. It gives maximal cosmetic results with a minimal risk of side-effects.

Injection of Botulinum toxin is indicated for the following:

  • Glabellar wrinkles
  • Forehead wrinkles
  • Crow’s feet (wrinkles around eyes)
  • Lateral wrinkles / eyebrow drooping
  • Marionette lines / lowering of the corners of the mouth
  • Decreasing nasal tip projection
  • Gummy smile correction
  • Perioral wrinkles/ vertical wrinkles around mouth typical for smokers
  • Chin roughness
  • Neck folds
  • Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) of palms of the hands, armpits or legs

The effects of the procedure start to show 2-4 days later, reaching the final result within      7-14 days. Muscle contraction capacity is restored within 3-6 months.

Repeated injections should be done at 3-6 months intervals to prevent the formation of static lines (wrinkles that are visible even without muscle contraction).

Frequency of intervals depends on injection area and peculiarities of the organism.

Before the procedure, a free consultation is done by the specialist at ''Helios'' Medical Centre. The patient is given an informed agreement where the indications, contraindications, and temporary side effects of the procedure are introduced in detail.
