Acne Treatment

Acne is a pathology of sebaceous glands. According to statistical data, 80% of people aged 12-25 and 30-40% of people above 25 suffer from it. It often causes isolation, irritability, difficulty in adaptation to social and intimate relationships.

Acne (blisters, pimples) usually occurs during puberty, when hormonal changes cause hyperfunction of sebaceous glands. As a result, the sebaceous glands become clogged creating favorable conditions for bacteria to grow.

Self-treatment of acne is full of risks. Complications include leaving behind scars and pigmentation; hence acne treatment requires a coordinated approach.

“Helios” Medical Center includes phototherapy and carboxytherapy in acne treatment (if it is in the active phase), microcurrent therapy, facial ultrasonic cleaning, peelings, including chemical peels.

As acne is a disease that is affected by different factors, a whole team of highly qualified doctors are engaged in its treatment at “Helios” Medical Center: dermato-cosmetologists, general physicians, endocrinologists, and gynecologists. As in other diseases, acne also requires some laboratory tests, which are skillfully done at the center.

The treatment method for each customer is chosen strictly based on personal features, the degree of the complication of the disease, type, age, sex, existence of concomitant diseases and so on.

Special attention is paid to issues arising after acne resolution, such as atrophic and hypertrophic scars, uneven skin structure, hyperpigmentation, etc.
